The fastest way
Type the restaurant name into the search box on the NYC Restaurant Grades home page. Each restaurant page shows the current grade, the latest score, every violation from the most recent inspection and the full inspection history.
To check places around you, use the near-me page, which ranks nearby restaurants by distance with their grades.
Other official sources
- The ABCEats tool from the Health Department.
- The DOHMH Restaurant Inspection Results dataset on NYC Open Data, which is the source for this site.
- The grade card posted in the restaurant window, which must be visible from the sidewalk.
Checking delivery-only kitchens
Delivery apps often show a brand name that differs from the legal business name on file with the city. If a search comes up empty, try the address or the parent restaurant name.
